About
Technically Here is one of many digital scrapbooks kept by Courtney Johnston von Nieda.
Technically Here is about my ever changing interactions with computing and technical work as a product and engineering leader. And it is also maybe about some projects I'll never finish.
About Courtney
I'm currently working for a product studio in the center of the United States as a Staff Technical Product Manager. Over my 10 years here I've also been Director of Engineering, Director of Quality, and Product Consultant. I enjoy the act of needing to deeply understand new industries, users, and problems and then deliver on them every 12-16 weeks. I'm pretty damn good at that whiplash.
I am personally interested in work within cybersecurity, but I also regularly work with AEC, insurance, fintech, transportation, energy, and organizational design. Being pathologically curious and getting to regularly dive deep into something new is what makes this job great.
AI Policy
Writing is an act I have always enjoyed, and I have no need to outsource to a machine. As well, the featured images in the posts are not AI generated, but produced by Repper [affiliate link], a tool which uses a portion of an existing image you provide to make a repeating pattern. I like patterns.
AI-generated items may appear within posts from time to time and they will be clearly identified.
